Missy

Missy is a fragrance from the Los Angeles-based brand by/rosie jane, founded by Rosie Jane Johnston in 2010. The brand’s origins reach back to 2008, when Johnston developed a personal fragrance after questioning what fragrance formulas contained and how their ingredients were disclosed. That scent, later known as Leila Lou, grew into a business when friends, family, and acquaintances asked her to make it for them. By/rosie jane presents its products as safe, beautiful, and honest, with “clean” as a longstanding operating standard. Johnston is the brand’s defining creative figure, shaping its fragrance development and identity. Launched in 2024, Missy is an aromatic fruity fragrance with tropical-fruit, white-floral, coconut, pineapple, and green-mandarin facets; its name comes from Johnston’s childhood nickname. Inspired by friendship and joy, it was named a finalist in the 2024 CEW Beauty Awards’ Personal Scent: Women category.
