Miu Miu

Miu Miu was created in 1993 by Miuccia Prada as a brand distinct from Prada, taking its name from Prada’s childhood nickname. It developed as an experimental, instinctive outlet for Prada’s creativity, with designs characterized as unconventional, provocative, sensual, and irreverent. In 2006, Miu Miu moved its fashion-show location from Milan to Paris, a change described as reinforcing the brand’s independence from Prada. It remains part of the Prada Group, which owns and registers the Miu Miu trademark. Miu Miu’s fragrance history began with its first Eau de Parfum in 2015, following an exclusive fragrance partnership between Prada Group and Coty. On February 9, 2024, Prada and L’Oréal Groupe announced an exclusive worldwide, long-term licence for Miu Miu luxury beauty products, with the first fragrances under L’Oréal expected in 2025. Miutine Eau de Parfum launched in 2025 as Miu Miu’s first fragrance made in collaboration with L’Oréal, a chypre-based composition created by Dominique Ropion with citrus-floral-woody elements and wild-strawberry and brown-sugar accords.
