Miya Shinma
Miya Shinma Paris was founded in 1999 by perfumer Miya Shinma, who was born in Shizuoka, studied in Kyoto, and later settled in Paris. Her path into perfumery followed a 1995 trip to Florence and perfume studies in Paris beginning in 1997; her first perfumes launched in 1998. The house’s creative identity brings Japanese ideas and philosophy into dialogue with French perfumery, reflecting Shinma’s life between Japan and France. Hana, Tsuki, and Kaze were her first fragrances, created to express Japanese beauty through three love poems from the Hyakunin-Isshu. The brand presents its perfumes through the L’Eau de Miya Shinma, Héritage, Kimono, and L’Or collections, shaped by themes of restraint, precision, time, memory, and quiet presence. In 2020, it announced L’Eau de Miya Shinma Exclusive KOUZOME, and in May 2024, FUWARI joined the L’Or collection. In March 2025, Shinma collaborated with Boucheron on a perfumed card using three scents to communicate Boucheron’s identity. Tsuki, part of Héritage, offers a clear expression of the house’s Japanese-fragrance identity, associated with discretion, purity, nature, and personal well-being.
