Mocemsa
Mocemsa launched in August 2017 as a Spain-made fragrance brand and made its Indian-market debut that same month, offering perfumes for women and men. The brand was co-founded by brothers Pulkit and Paarth Malhotra; its name combines “Moc,” associated with Malhotra Oil Co., established in 1916, and “Emsa,” the fragrance unit, while also echoing the Hindi phrase “mausam sa,” or “like the weather.” Mocemsa’s identity brings Indian fragrance references and preferences, along with inspiration from India’s naturally fragrant regions and diversity, into its approach to international perfumery. Pulkit Malhotra, trained at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery under Max Gavarry, is the brand’s chief perfumer, and his work has shaped its formulations and creative approach. Oud is a documented thread in its fragrance identity: Al Ameera is one of Mocemsa’s two signature oud-inspired fragrances.
