Morgan's

Morgan’s Pomade was established in London in 1873 by Robert Martin, beginning with a shampoo and adding Morgan’s Pomade about one or two years later. The brand first reached fashionable gentlemen’s hairdressers in London’s West End before supplying exclusive hairdressers in Paris and other European capitals. During the First World War, Martin’s wife, Jane Dinah, took control of the business after his death, while Morgan’s expanded into India and the United States. Postwar export growth, particularly in West Africa and Nigeria, was followed by further international expansion. From the 1970s onward, the company broadened its range beyond pomade to include shampoo, hair-styling products, women’s face and hand creams, and a men’s retro barber line. Today, Morgan’s is an independent, family-run company in its sixth generation, offering hair, beard, shaving, skincare, spa, cologne, and other beauty products. In 2023, it marked its 150th anniversary, reporting distribution in more than 50 export markets and sales of its billionth jar of pomade.
