Morgane Le Fay

Morgane Le Fay was founded in New York’s SoHo by Liliana Casabal in the early 1980s; the founding year is variously given as 1982 and 1983. Casabal is the founder and designer, and the brand’s creative language centers on feminine form, diaphanous storytelling, new ideas of beauty, and recurring references to the mythical. Its creative process emphasizes craftsmanship and the idea that fashion can make the wearer feel limitless. By 2017, the company had produced 70 collections across roughly 35 years, with each season shaped by a magical story or character. The brand’s fragrance project was presented at Cosmoprof in 2008. That launch comprised four color-coded scents—Yellow, Rosa/Pink, Green, and Blue—each linked to a different aspect of feminine temperament, with the fragrances credited to Natalie Gracia-Cetto and Alessandro Gualtieri.
