Mucha
MUCHA debuted on September 7, 2023, as the first brand authorized by the Mucha Foundation, with development by Mash Style Lab, part of Mash Holdings. Its concept is to revive scenes and memories through fragrance and objects inspired by Alphonse Mucha’s art. The brand draws on his Czech-Moravian origins and Art Nouveau work across posters, decorative panels, calendars, jewelry, and product packaging, while linking contemporary products to the historical management of his copyrights, trademarks, and brand name by Mucha Limited, established by the Mucha Trust in 1993. The Mucha Trust and Mucha Foundation had been established the previous year by Geraldine Mucha and John Mucha; the foundation’s first exhibition followed at London’s Barbican Art Gallery in 1993, with global exhibition activity from that year onward. MUCHA launched as a broader licensed-art brand, combining fragrance with lifestyle goods. Its initial fragrance focus, the Flowers series, is based on Mucha’s 1898 Four Flowers works, while Rodo is based on his 1896 poster for a spray perfume.
