Muriel

Muriel traces its origins to formulas developed by pharmacist Sebastião Américo de Souza to treat skin blemishes. The products adopted the Muriel name, and an industrial company was later formed with Geraldo Possendoro. After Muriel was acquired, the business continued its blemish-treatment line but shifted toward consumer cosmetics when efforts to establish a pharmaceutical laboratory proved difficult. Its activities subsequently broadened from treatment products into skincare, body care, hair care and other personal-care categories. Today, Muriel presents itself around cosmetics, beauty and wellbeing, with an emphasis on quality, innovation, safety and efficacy. The official website identifies the business as Beauty Lab do Brasil Ltda. and uses the copyright name Nova Muriel Cosméticos.
