Fragrance house
Nabucco
Nabucco’s house project began in 1997, and its first scent was presented in 2006. The French niche perfumery brand was created by artisans with a focus on reviving historical fine perfumery and ritualistic fragrance use. Its identity brings together French perfumery and Middle Eastern influence, while its early fragrances draw on the history and imagery of ancient Mesopotamia. Nabucco’s Parfum Fin format is alcohol-free and oil-based, presenting fragrance application as a ritual rather than as conventional alcohol perfume. The first two releases, Amytis Parfum Fin and Nabucco Parfum Fin, appeared in 2006; Nabucco Parfum Fin is inspired by the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar II, while Amytis refers to his spouse in the brand’s historical narrative. The visual identity uses black and transparent crystal elements alongside Hermetic symbolism of light and darkness.
