NafNaf
NafNaf was created in Paris in 1973 by brothers Gérard and Patrick Pariente. The company launched its first NAF NAF collection in 1978 and became a business corporation under the same name the following year. A 1984 advertising campaign by Franck Davidovici, “Le Grand Méchant Look,” helped establish the brand internationally as a young, colorful women’s label. Its major commercial breakthrough came in the early 1980s; it expanded into the European market in the early 1990s and entered the stock market in 1993. Vivarte acquired NafNaf in 2007 and sold it in April 2018 to a Chinese consortium led by Shanghai La Chapelle Fashion. After subsequent ownership by Turkish companies, Groupe Beaumanoir was selected for a partial takeover in August 2025 and announced acquiring the NafNaf brand and 12 stores in France.
