Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell’s fragrance brand began with her mid-1990s initiative to develop a fragrance line. In 1998, Cosmopolitan Cosmetics and Wella AG offered to manufacture a Campbell fragrance and cosmetics line, and the related license agreement was executed that December. The first eponymous fragrance reached Japan, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, and Australia in fall 1999, followed by its U.S. launch in June 2000; Naomagic arrived in fall 2000. Campbell took a personal role in the line’s creative development, aiming for fragrances that represented her and expressed different attitudes and changing inner feelings. The slender, fashionable bottle for the original fragrance was designed to convey a futuristic millennium aesthetic. After Procter & Gamble acquired Wella AG in 2003, P&G recorded Naomi Campbell among the fine-fragrance brands it divested in September 2014. The license transferred to Designer Parfums in the United Kingdom on 31 October 2014, and by 2020 Designer Parfums listed Naomi Campbell in its fragrance portfolio. The eponymous fragrance is identified as the line’s signature scent and best-seller.
