Naomi Goodsir
Founded in 2012 by Australian milliner and designer Naomi Goodsir and Renaud Coutaudier, Naomi Goodsir Parfums extends Goodsir’s work in hand-made hats and fashion accessories into fragrance as a medium for form, materials, and creativity. Its first perfumes, Cuir Velours and Bois d’Ascèse, were presented that year at an Italian perfume fair, establishing a design language built around fine-perfumery raw materials, facets, texture, and distinct olfactory identities. Goodsir’s creative vision is developed with independent perfumers, including Julien Rasquinet, Bertrand Duchaufour, and Isabelle Doyen. Iris Cendré, created with Rasquinet, was nominated for the French Fragrance Foundation Awards’ Experts category in 2016. Released in 2017 with Doyen, Nuit de Bakélite won the 2018 Art and Olfaction independent category, the French FIFI Experts Award, and the Olfactorama Prix de l’émotion, and was selected for Nez’s “111 perfumes” and Auparfum’s decade selection. In 2021, Corpus Equus, created with Duchaufour, interpreted the smell of a horse through the brand’s animalistic, material-led vocabulary. Goodsir Pty Ltd is the current rights-holding entity.
