Nazareno Gabrielli

Nazareno Gabrielli was founded in 1907 in Tolentino, Italy, by the namesake binder and decorator. By 1922, the business had expanded into fashion, including clothing, small leather goods, bags, and gloves. In 1928, Fiat commissioned the company to produce leather components for Italy’s first royal train. After the war, its identity developed around Italian fashion, leather goods, accessories, and later clothing and diaries; the 1980s represented its broadest expansion across sectors. The company entered a major crisis in the 1990s. In 1999, David Passini sold it to Angelo Corona’s holding, which incorporated Gabrielli into Pineider. After a subsequent acquisition by Lediberg and division between the N.G. Diaries and leather-goods businesses, Nazareno Gabrielli Diaries took over the brand in 2011, bringing its diary, paper-goods, promotional-items, and leather-goods activities under one structure, while clothing and prêt-à-porter remained discontinued. In 2012, Silvestro Muccillo acquired the brand, which its current public company profile identifies as owned by Muccillo. Today, Nazareno Gabrielli presents its identity through continuity between Italian artisan tradition and industrial design.
