NEH

NEH is a Stockholm-based perfume label launched on May 28, 2024, by Tara Derakshan, the creator of the scent-discovery platform SNIPH. Its origin story reaches back to a 2019 sacred-plant ceremony, after which Derakshan reconnected with her full birth name, Taraneh; the name NEH uses its final three letters and echoes the French word “nez,” or nose. Under Derakshan’s creative direction, the house brings together master perfumery and mindfulness, treating scent as a practice for self-connection, presence, and personal transformation. Its sensory concept extends beyond perfume: fragrances are paired with affirmations and frequency soundscapes, while NFC technology links the bottles to related digital experiences. Developed with the French fragrance atelier Flair Paris and its perfumers, NEH’s first collection is The Altered States Collection, a six-fragrance framework in which each scent carries a distinct intention and is paired with ceremony-like practices for reflection and self-connection. The first three released fragrances—The Opening, The High, and The Light—were introduced in June 2024. By June 5, 2025, NEH marked its first anniversary.
