Neil Morris Fragrances

Neil Morris Fragrances was founded in 2005 by Boston perfumer Neil Morris, after more than three decades of making fragrances to customers’ specifications. Morris had begun blending oil fragrances for friends and other customers in the 1960s, and in the early 1990s Paula Goldstein of Desana Fragrances encouraged him to start a fragrance business. The house’s creative identity treats fragrance as emotional storytelling, drawing on memories and experiences; its public offering combines bespoke design with a Signature Collection and The Vault. In 2008, Morris created an exclusive fragrance for Takashimaya New York, a project later described as nominated for Perfume Extraordinaire of the Year at the Fragrance Foundation’s 2009 FiFi awards. The brand presents its retail identity as non-gender-specific. Afire expresses its story-led approach and attracted the attention of many perfume enthusiasts. Its current public development includes Arcane Knowledge, the first of three fragrances in The Knowledge Series, co-created with perfumer Akuura Kulak of Aroma Sanctum Perfumes.
