Nelia

Nelia is a Spanish personal-hygiene and perfumery label associated with Perfumería Gal. The earliest located Spanish public record is a 1987 BOE notice concerning Gal’s registration of the NELIA mark for perfumery and related products; the trademark record shows a 20 December 1988 filing covering perfumery, cosmetics, soaps and hair lotions. Puig acquired Perfumería Gal in a transaction completed in 2001. In February 2008, Agrupaejido acquired seven Puig brands, including Nelia, through the renamed company Nelia Internacional Cosméticos; by August 2009, that company was described as an Agrupaejido subsidiary operating with Nelia among its brands. Nelia’s fragrance identity includes Agua de Rosas, presented as a classic, subtle rose fragrance and identified by a Spanish retailer as the brand’s eau de cologne.
