Nenuco
Nenuco’s official biography dates the brand’s birth to 1939, while independent accounts place the Barcelona cologne and company origin in 1946. Industrial engineer Ramon Horta created the fragrance in Barcelona and initially produced it artisanally at home. He continued making it until his death in 1968, when his family took over and industrialized production. Nenuco then evolved from a baby cologne into a broader baby-care brand, adding children’s cleansing products and a wider range of baby-hygiene care while retaining cologne as part of its identity. Its durable public identity centers on baby care, simplicity, family, trust, and inclusion. Nenuco is especially identified with its original baby cologne, described as Spain’s first children’s cologne and reported to have remained practically unchanged since 1946, becoming associated with intergenerational family memories. In Spain, the current website identifies VEH Hibiscus Spain S.L.U. as the responsible company and describes it as a Vestacy company; a June 2026 registry entry records its name change from Reckitt Benckiser España S.L. to VEH Hibiscus Spain S.L.
