Neshama Perfume
Neshama Perfume’s earliest directly documented public presence dates to 2022. Founded by perfumer Simon Shaer, the brand develops, compounds, and bottles its perfumes in small batches in London. Its name and identity draw on the ideas of soul and breath, framing perfume as a sensory and spiritual journey. Neshama’s olfactory approach emphasizes natural materials, vintage fragrances, rare florals, balsams, and woods, with a preference for natural materials over synthetics. In 2023, Osmanthus Floral, now presented on the brand’s site as Souls on Fire, was named a finalist in the Artisan category of the Art and Olfaction Awards. Its current creative output also includes Wandering Stars, co-created by Shaer and Michael Ælfric Nordstrand of Mythologist Studio.
