Nesti Dante Firenze

Nesti Dante Firenze traces its origins to postwar Florence, where young Dante Nesti began experimenting with soap at home after receiving leftover animal fat and advice to combine it with soda. His initiative became a company registered with the Florence Chamber of Commerce in 1947. The brand’s identity is rooted in Florentine soapmaking heritage, traditional cauldron saponification, vegetable oils, and Italian production, with its history linking Florence’s soapmaking tradition to the Medici era and Via dei Saponai. Today, Nesti Dante is directed by the second and third generations, guided by the principle of seeking to be the best rather than the biggest. After more than six decades of soapmaking, it expanded into perfume by July 2018 with the five-fragrance Essence de Parfum collection, inspired by nature and family. The line includes N°1 Fico della Signoria, N°3 Regina di Peonie, N°5 Limonum Zagara, N°7 Aqua Dea Marine, and N°9 De Ambra Papaver; in a 2018 interview, N°5 and N°7 were identified as summer top sellers, while N°3 sold well year-round.
