Nicole Richie

Nicole Richie founded House of Harlow 1960 as a jewelry brand, with its origin dated to 2007 and its launch to 2008. The label subsequently grew into a broader lifestyle brand that extended into apparel and other fashion categories. Its creative identity has drawn on vintage-inspired, California-rooted, free-spirited design, with influences from the 1960s and 1970s. Richie served as the brand’s founder and creative director, guiding its creative vision and protecting its design signature. In fall 2024, she reclaimed full creative control, removed “1960” from the public label, and relaunched House of Harlow as a modern luxury jewelry house. The relaunch shifted the brand’s public identity toward intentional design, symbolism, personal meaning, and elevated fine jewelry.
