Nikos

Nikos Apostolopoulos established his own fashion company in Paris in 1985. The brand began with men’s intimate wear and expanded by 1987 into women’s intimate wear, swimwear, and men’s and women’s ready-to-wear. Its early creative identity centered on body-conscious, minimalist, erotic clothing shaped by sculpted male physiques and Greek-god imagery. Apostolopoulos also designed theatre and opera costumes, including work for Monsigny’s Cadi Dupe and Richard Strauss’s Salome in 1989 and 1990. Nikos entered fragrance with Sculpture Femme in 1994, followed by Sculpture Homme in 1995. Sculpture is the brand’s defining fragrance family, later extended with flankers and a concentrated Parfum version in 2022. The fragrance business was created in partnership with Lancaster Group, while current reference listings identify Coty as Nikos’s parent company.
