Nilafar du Nil

Nilafar du Nil is a Cairo fragrance house founded in November 2019 under Syrian–Egyptian ownership by AbdelFattah Nassar and Waseem Daaboul. Its identity brings together Egyptian heritage, ancient perfumery traditions, modern innovation, and narrative-oriented fragrance creation. The intended name was Nilufer, a reference to the lotus flower in ancient Arabic; after registration difficulties in Egypt, the house adopted Nilafar du Nil while retaining Nilufer as its logo. By 2020, its fragrance collection included L’Homme Fort, Catamaran, Zenia, and Trajan. Nilufer debuted in November 2021 and was credited to master perfumer Chris Maurice, who is also credited with TIBA. In 2024, Patrizia Cezza created KITHARA, extending the house’s collaborations with international perfumers.
