Nina Ricci

Nina Ricci was established in Paris in 1932 by Maria “Nina” Ricci and her son Robert Ricci. The house created its first perfume, Coeur de Joie, in 1946, followed by Robert Ricci’s launch of L’Air du Temps in 1948. A spicy-floral fragrance associated with peace, love and freedom after the war, L’Air du Temps is presented in a bottle featuring intertwined doves and is described as Nina Ricci’s best-selling perfume. In December 1997, Puig agreed to acquire the house from Sanofi and the Ricci, Fuchs and Kousmine families; after the acquisition, Nina Ricci closed its fashion and haute-couture activities while retaining its perfume business. Since 2022, British-American designer Harris Reed has led the house’s fashion direction, with his debut collection using an expanded size range and models of different genders.
