Nostos

Nostos is a New York-based fragrance brand founded by Jackie Mayol, who developed it as a full-time project before its public debut in December 2025. Its name refers to a longing to return home, a concept expressed through fragrances that translate specific memories and familiar sensory experiences into wearable scents, with nostalgia framed as a mixture of sweetness and sadness. At launch, Nostos introduced Calico, Teen, and Shiver together; perfumer Marissa Zappas created the first three fragrances from memory concepts supplied by Mayol. Teen, evoking teenage summer memories and formative body-spray culture, was the concept Mayol identified as the inspiration for Nostos as a whole. Calico translates the domestic memory of fresh sheets, tea, and a new kitten into a soft, musky fragrance created by Zappas.
