NOT perfumes

NOT perfumes is a Swedish fragrance brand developed by perfumer Johanna Venables. Before creating its ready-to-wear line, Venables had composed bespoke perfumes and formulated perfume or scented oils for selected clients since 1992; the brand’s ready-to-wear concept emerged from that practice. Its ready-made Extracts launched in November 2018. NOT perfumes presents its work as olfactory art rather than conventional perfume storytelling, with a creative position centered on olfactory expression, natural materials, and refusal to compromise. The initial documented collection comprised five Extracts: Orm, Nadir, Vaan, Ashka, and Svaha. Venables is identified as the brand’s perfumer and the nose behind its documented fragrances.
