Nui Cobalt Designs was founded by Forest Nui Cobalt in 2012, after she had worked for an independent New York shop and a Los Angeles perfume company. Based in Columbus, Ohio, the brand makes handcrafted magickal perfume oils, natural-wax candles, bath spells, and related goods, with products charged under astrological conditions. Forest, the brand’s founder and Creative Director, has practiced Paganism for 32 years and was influenced by her grandmother, an astrologer and Tarot reader. The Gamers Collection extends this spiritual identity into video-game and role-playing themes. By 2019, perfume oils had become the brand’s most popular offering. Its fragrance catalogue includes a year-round Cobalt Druid line, a Continuous Collection of scents offered for extended runs, and an Archive for scents not planned for current reblending.
