Fragrance house

Nur

Nur by Nuria du Chêne was founded in Milan in 2021 by master perfumer Nuria du Chêne de Vère, who studied raw materials and formulation in Grasse before working at the Italian fragrance house Moellhausen. The brand began by transforming a reed diffuser and a candle into sensory objects, with home fragrance as its initial focus. Its creative identity draws on du Chêne de Vère’s Spanish and Italian cultural background, memories of a family home near Barcelona, and the visual influence of Arabic architecture, including the Alhambra. Nur now operates as an independent scent-design studio, creating tailor-made olfactory experiences, scent branding, atmospheres for spaces and events, workshops, and an exclusive fragrance collection. Its home-fragrance line comprises six candle and diffuser scents arranged around warmer- and colder-season atmospheres, including linen, myrtle, wisteria, amber, pomegranate, and leather. Three fragrances—Glicine, Lino, and Mirto—were included in Accademia del Profumo’s 2022 listing.
