Ode Ona is a Hong Kong-based fragrance house founded in 2023 by Ruth Chao von Gehren, whose background is in psychology and design. Its creative identity translates Eastern wellness rituals into fragrance, treating scent as a way to influence or embody a state of mind. The brand’s current collection is organized as six compositions linked to six states of mind: cleanse, ground, empower, calm, appreciate, and love. The fragrances are made in France in collaboration with perfumers Emilie Coppermann and Suzy Le Helley. Ode Ona Group Ltd is the operating company named in the brand’s terms and is majority owned by Chao von Gehren. In fragrance, Ode Ona is defined by an intentional, mood-oriented concept: Carte Blanche is associated with cleansing, while Dawn Earth is associated with grounding.
