Off-White

Off-White began in 2012 as Virgil Abloh’s artwork project, PYREX VISION, and premiered as a seasonal men’s and women’s fashion label in 2013. The Milan-based label brought together streetwear, luxury, art, music, and architecture, occupying what it described as the grey area between black and white while reinterpreting streetwear through architectural and conceptual design. It was a finalist for the LVMH Prize in 2015 and began showing runway collections during Paris Fashion Week that year. After Abloh’s death on November 28, 2021, Ibrahim Kamara was identified as the brand’s Image and Art Director in its Spring/Summer 2023 materials and was presenting as official creative director by September 2024. On September 30, 2024, LVMH sold Off-White to Bluestar Alliance. Its first beauty collection, PAPERWORK, included four SOLUTION fragrances created by Abloh with perfumers Alexis Dadier, Jerome Epinette, and Sidonie Lancesseur.
