Officina delle Essenze

Founded in Rome in 2001 by Maurizio Lembo, Officina delle Essenze is a family-owned Italian house working across personal and home fragrance. It grew from the Lembo family’s perfumery tradition, which began with a shop near St Peter’s in 1950; while working in the family’s Campo Marzio perfumery from 1987, Lembo studied and experimented with fragrance composition. Home fragrances developed in the boutique’s back room preceded the brand, whose early reed diffusers were sold through Lembo perfumeries in 1995. Puro Lino became a defining scent when demand for a wearable version led to its release as the house’s first Eau de Parfum in 2005. In 2024, Officina delle Essenze introduced an Extrait de Parfum line, presenting a new olfactory direction and redesigned format for its personal fragrances.
