Olfactive Studio
Olfactive Studio was launched in Paris in September 2011 by Céline Verleure, growing from her 2010 French-language online project, “the blog of the fragrance that doesn’t exist (yet),” where an online community contributed ideas to the future brand. Its identity joins contemporary artistic photography with perfumery: each creation begins with a selected photograph, which a perfumer translates into a fragrance, in a collaboration among photographer, perfumer, and Verleure. The early line included Autoportrait, Chambre Noire, and Still Life in 2011, followed by Lumière Blanche in 2012 and Flash Back in 2013. In 2016, the brand introduced a custom-designed signature bottle with a design that referenced optical lenses. In 2024, the Féminité collection placed femininity at the center, shifting the imagery from landscapes and still lifes toward portraits of women and using AI-created images after the original photographer’s image rights were unavailable. Flash Back and Still Life were identified in 2020 as bestsellers in almost all countries.
