Olivier Durbano
Born in Cannes and closely associated with Grasse, Olivier Durbano comes from a family that had lived there for several generations; his great-grandparents cultivated flowers for perfumery. After studying architecture, he began creating one-of-a-kind stone jewelry, and a trip to Syria, where he acquired ancient stone beads, led to his first necklace in 1998. The idea for perfume emerged in 2004, followed by the presentation of Rock Crystal in 2005. That fragrance launched the Bijoux de Pierres Poèmes collection, extending Durbano’s stone-jewelry practice into niche perfumery. Across the brand’s jewelry and perfumes, stones, their symbolism, legends, and perceived mystery provide the central creative language, while incense recurs as a thread in the fragrances. The current Olivier Durbano universe also includes shawls, with creations imagined and composed in Grasse in collaboration with artisans. In 2025, the brand added Deus ex Petra 21, a perfume created and made in Grasse within the same mineral and spiritual vocabulary.
