Olivier Strelli
Olivier Strelli was created in 1979 by founder and designer Nissim Israël as an internationally developing ready-to-wear label. Its identity draws on cosmopolitan family roots, African boubous and ethnic prints, expressed through vivid colours, noble materials and fluid lines. The brand’s first full-line collection was shown in Paris in 1980, and its collections were presented as seasonal evolutions through changing colours and graphic designs. Its work became associated with clothing made for The Rolling Stones, Brigitte Bardot and Stevie Wonder, with its strongest public visibility reported in the 1990s. After the ready-to-wear business collapsed in 2012, the Olivier Strelli name was acquired by Olivier Israël, Nissim Israël’s son. The label returned in 2013 through Strelli Homme, a relaunch with a younger menswear direction. In July 2005, Olivier Strelli launched its first perfume, conceived as a feminine lavender by perfumer Corinne Cachen.
