Olymra

Olymra is a Swiss fragrance brand established in 2025, founded by Dr. Frida (Freideriki) Michailidou after a scientific expedition to decode the olfactory identity of rare Mount Olympus flora. Its identity brings together Greek landscape and mythology with scientific fragrance research, including the study and non-destructive recreation of scents from rare Mount Olympus plants. Michailidou’s 2021–2022 Collegium Helveticum project examined biocatalytic fragrance ingredients, in-vitro safety testing, and consumer perception. Before launching Olymra, her ETH Zurich research used headspace scent capture and analytical chemistry to study rare Mount Olympus flowers without damaging protected plants. In April 2025, Olymra joined The Ark Foundation’s PhytoArk incubator in Valais, Switzerland, to develop fragrances inspired by rare Greek flora and heritage. By November 2025, it had launched its first Swiss packages. Its mission is to merge art, science, and heritage through fragrance, with the Mount Olympus research forming the basis of the brand.
