OM Parfum

OM Parfum is a Taiwanese fragrance house founded in 2021 by independent perfumer Aichi Liu. Presented as a one-person studio, it creates fragrances in small batches, with a creative identity shaped by films, art, philosophy, travel memories, diverse cultures, and contrasts within compositions. Liu began developing perfume during COVID-19 self-isolation, studying aroma chemicals, oils, blends, and formulas; that process led to Aftermath, the house’s first fragrance, released in 2022. OM Parfum organizes its work into thematic series including Cinephile, Map, 7 Sins, OM, and Oudtopia, exploring cinema, travel and memory, human history, inward reflection, and oud. Liu also designs many of the brand’s bottles, which she has described as reflecting each fragrance; she made all the bottles for Memento Mori. Aftermath interprets Taiwan’s humid rain and damp ground, combining rain, soil, green grass, sun, cypress, mitti attar, and oud with an evocation of homeland nostalgia. By 2025, the brand had developed multiple thematic collections, with Map identified as its largest collection at that time.
