Opus Oils
Founded in 2000 by industry veteran Kedra Hart, Opus Oils is a U.S. perfume atelier and custom-fragrance studio rooted in artisan and natural perfumery. Its fragrances are hand-blended, aged, and produced in small batches using traditional artisan methods. Hart began working in fragrance and beauty in 1988 and later developed Opus Oils after experience with The Apothecary at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills. She is identified as the brand’s Master Perfumer, creates custom fragrances, and teaches perfumery. In 2007, Opus Oils released Satan’s Angel at the Tease-O-Rama Burlesque Convention, inspired by the burlesque performer of the same name. In 2008, it opened the Jitterbug Perfume Parlour in Hollywood for custom-fragrance consultations and events. Jitterbug was designated the parlour’s signature fragrance, while the space connected the brand’s creative identity with Hollywood, cabaret, vaudeville, and flapper-era references. The Burlesque Collection grew from Hart’s work on Satan’s Angel and her lifelong love of burlesque.
