Otz Lab

OTZ LAB is a fragrance brand launched in Madrid in March 2026 by Spanish fashion house OTEYZA in collaboration with Perfumes y Diseño. It is OTEYZA’s first venture into high authorial perfumery, extending the house’s creative universe into scent. Founded in 2011 by Paul García de Oteyza and Caterina Pañeda, OTEYZA combines traditional, made-to-measure, and prêt-à-couture work, reworking tailoring traditions through avant-garde design. Its creative identity draws on Madrid and on contrasts between tradition and modernity, restraint and audacity, and art, craft, and contemporary design. OTEYZA received Spain’s National Fashion Prize in 2018 and joined the official Paris Fashion Week calendar in 2020. In 2021, Perfumes y Diseño acquired a minority stake in OTEYZA, while the founders retained majority control and creative direction. OTZ LAB launched with eight fragrances developed by multiple perfumers, each treated as an individual artistic work shaped by unexpected pairings and tension between contrasting materials.
