P1

P1 is a fragrance label rooted in Munich’s P1 nightclub at Prinzregentenstraße 1. The venue began in 1949 as a U.S. Army officers’ club in the east wing of Haus der Kunst, taking its name from the address, and a restaurant opened at the site in 1956. It developed from a studio restaurant and Munich art-scene venue into a club presence from the mid-1980s. Michael Käfer took over P1 in 1984; by 2014, he and Franz Rauch were reported as joint owners. The fragrance label launched its first two scents, Careful Hot and Members Only, in June 2013 through SA.G Group and drom fragrances, connecting their creative direction to the club’s nightlife identity and the motto “We own the night.” Both fragrances were released in 2013, with Careful Hot presented as the female and Members Only as the male official P1 nightclubbing fragrances.
