Paglieri
Paglieri traces its origins to 1807, when Luigi Paglieri opened an artisanal perfumery in Alessandria. In 1876, Lodovico Paglieri inherited the shop and began producing cosmetics and fragrances under the Paglieri name; during the twentieth century, the business developed into an industrial fragrance and personal-care company while retaining family ownership across successive generations. Its stated identity brings together Italian fragrance expertise, continuity between tradition and innovation, and a focus on wellbeing through scent. Paglieri’s defining fragrance is Felce Azzurra, created in Alessandria in 1923 by Luigi Paglieri and his son Lodovico. First introduced as an eau de cologne, it was extended into talcum powder in 1926 and later into personal, home, and laundry products, with a formula described as secret and passed through the family. In 2020, Paglieri received Italian historical-brand recognition for Felce Azzurra, Paglieri, and Schiapparelli. Felce Azzurra marked its centenary in 2023 with anniversary initiatives including a commemorative postage stamp.
