Palmers
Palmer’s traces its heritage to E.T. Browne Drug Company, a business originating in 1840. In 1971, Arnold Neis acquired E.T. Browne, and the business remains family-owned under Neis ownership. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula was created and introduced under that ownership, with the first cocoa-butter product dated to 1975. The brand grew from an ointment-and-soap business into skincare and haircare, developing ranges organized around ingredients and concerns such as cocoa butter, coconut oil, shea, olive oil, skin success, and haircare. Its public identity emphasizes natural-origin ingredients, treatment-oriented beauty care, and formulas for different skin and hair needs. In 2015, Palmer’s launched Cocoa Butter Formula Facial Care after research and development that began in 2008. Palmer’s is especially associated with cocoa-butter body care rather than standalone fine fragrance; fragrance appears within skincare collections, including Lemon Sorbet’s Lemon Chantilly fragrance.
