Parco 1923
Founded in 2016 by Paride Vitale and Ugo Maria Morosi, Parco 1923 originated from the founders’ shared connection to Abruzzo and their idea of translating the scents of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park into fragrance. Its name refers to 1923, the year the Italian government legally recognised the Abruzzo National Park. The brand’s identity draws on the protected park’s centuries-old trees, rare flowers, endemic plants, Marsican-bear symbolism and local materials, with the aim of preserving an olfactory memory of the landscape. Its starting fragrance, Eau de Toilette PARCO1923, was created by Luca Maffei with input from park botanists and rangers, while Eleonora Barbareschi of AMEBE handled the coordinated image, design and packaging. A green and woody scent, it was developed through botanical research to reproduce the olfactory landscape of the Abruzzo forests. Parco 1923 also links fragrance with conservation and territorial awareness and has been associated with the Arteparco contemporary-art-in-nature project. UMPV S.R.L. is currently identified as the brand’s owner and distributor.
