Parfums Aubusson

Parfums Aubusson began with the creation of the French company Parfums Daniel Aubusson on 1 March 1984 and is associated with perfumer Daniel Aubusson. The house’s first women’s fragrance was followed by a broader range of women’s and men’s releases, including floral, woody-chypre, and masculine lines. Histoire d’Amour, launched in 1984, is documented as Aubusson’s breakthrough fragrance and best-loved scent; its classic floral/woody-chypre character remains the clearest recorded expression of the brand’s olfactory identity. Aubusson Homme followed in 1992, establishing a defined men’s offering, while Histoire d’Amour 2 appeared in 2003. In 2001, Aubusson became part of First American Brands. After that company filed for bankruptcy in 2015, Great American Beauty obtained Aubusson’s rights and is described as holding its current distribution rights. The brand’s later public identity is therefore that of a continuing fragrance name whose established scents remain distributed through successor rights holders.
