Parfums de Coeur

Parfums de Coeur was founded in 1981 as a mass-market fragrance marketer. In September 2012, Yellow Wood Partners acquired the company in partnership with its management team. During that ownership, it broadened its portfolio through add-on acquisitions, including Dr. Teal’s Therapeutic Solutions in February 2014. In March 2015, the business changed its name to PDC Brands as it moved beyond a singular fragrance focus into beauty, personal care, and wellness. CVC Capital Partners’ Fund VI acquired PDC Brands in 2017, with the sale completed on July 5. Parfums de Coeur, Ltd. and affiliated companies do business as PDC Brands, linking the original and later names. Its fragrance legacy includes Body Fantasies and BOD Man, which were among its best-selling brands in 2008; BOD Man was the number-one best-selling men’s fragrance in the United States by units in 2004.
