Parfums de Marly
Parfums de Marly was founded in 2009 by Julien Sprecher. Its concept draws on 18th-century French perfumery and the heritage of the Château de Marly while taking a contemporary approach intended to break from standardized conventions. The brand’s name and visual mythology refer to the château and the equestrian culture of Louis XV’s court, including the Chevaux de Marly sculpture. Parfums de Marly initially launched in the Arabian Peninsula in November 2009, expanded into Italy and Germany in 2010, and established itself in the United States in 2012. Its fragrance history began with successful men’s scents such as Pegasus and Layton. Delina, launched in 2017, became almost immediately a hit, with social media playing a major role in its breakthrough; the fragrance helped establish Parfums de Marly as a recognized perfume house. In 2021, Delina was identified as the brand’s bestseller, and its success led to related versions retaining a common identity.
