Parfums et Senteurs du Pays Basque
Parfums et Senteurs du Pays Basque is a French fragrance and cosmetics company constituted and registered on 12 June 1996. Its registered history records successive names—Chassiron International in 1997 and Chassiron International Parfums in 1999—before the company adopted its current name in 2003; the business location also moved to La Bastide-Clairence in 1999. By 2006, the brand was presented as the work of Christian Louis, a maître-parfumeur who operated from a laboratory in La Bastide-Clairence. Louis brought 17 years of experience in the American pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry to the brand and trained as a perfumer at Galimard in Grasse. The brand’s identity links the Basque Country with Paris, while its fragrance range encompasses personal and home scents for women and men inspired by the Pays Basque. A 2006 profile described a collection that combined local Basque references with travel-oriented themes across body and ambient fragrances.
