Parfums M Micallef
Created in Grasse in 1996 by married couple Martine Micallef and Geoffrey Nejman, Parfums M. Micallef began at home with a small team, bringing together Martine’s background in art and design and Geoffrey’s move from finance into perfume creation. The house’s guiding idea, “Art and Perfume,” treats scent and bottle as one creative work: Martine designs the bottles, which are decorated by hand in Grasse with crystals, gold, platinum, or paint. Early fragrance work was supported by perfumer Jean-Claude Astier, and a 1999 visit to Dubai inspired the incorporation of oud; six oud-containing perfumes followed between 2000 and 2006. The brand’s palette now extends beyond its early oriental focus to floral, gourmand, solar, woody, and spicy styles while remaining centered on Grasse, artistic bottle design, and handmade craft. Since 2023, a new generation has led the house, with Claudia Micallef as artistic director and Leslie Micallef handling marketing and communications. Created in 2005, Ananda is identified as one of the brand’s best-sellers and has consistently ranked among its top five fragrances by sales.
