Fragrance house

Parlux

Founded in 1984 by Frederick E. Purches, Parlux developed as a prestige-fragrance company creating, designing, manufacturing, distributing, and selling fragrance and beauty products worldwide, primarily through licensed and sublicensed brands. Its business model centered on partnerships with public figures and other brand owners, including Paris Hilton, Andy Roddick, Rihanna, and Kanye West; in 2009, it entered sublicense agreements for Rihanna and Kanye West fragrances. A 2012 merger reorganized the business as Parlux Fragrances, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Perfumania, and enabled the sublicensing of Jay-Z fragrance rights. Parlux later shifted its public identity toward full-service beauty-brand development, working with pop-culture figures, fashion houses, and designers from concept and product development through global distribution. In 2021, it launched Better World Fragrance House with Drake. The house introduced its first Eau de Parfum, Summer Mink, in 2025, extending the collection from candles and fragrance oils into personal fragrance.
