Pascal Morabito

Pascal Morabito’s story is rooted in a family tradition traced to 1871 and a family business founded in Nice in 1900. On 3 May 1968, Pascal Morabito established a contemporary-jewelry and “micro-architecture” center in the family workshops, beginning a creative practice that would extend across jewelry, perfumery, leather goods, sculpture, and design. In 1970, he created Diamant Libre, a diamond enclosed in a crystal cube with gold edges, followed in 1980 by Or Noir, the brand’s first jewel-perfume. Or Black arrived in 1981 as its masculine counterpart, with the two fragrances conceived as complementary symbols of woman and man and linked to Morabito’s artistic theme of love. In 2000, he began a long-term partnership with Groupe GM and created his first hospitality-product line, bringing his design language and fragrances into hotel amenities. In 2020, painting became an additional part of his artistic practice after decades focused on sculpture and design.
