Pastor Fragrances
Pastor Fragrances is a Chilean niche fragrance brand established by Edgar Pastor after years of work in fragrance, when he became independent; he works with his wife, Paula Arriaza. Its public structure includes Pastor Privé Parfums, niche reinterpretations, and XCENTIA by Pastor. Pastor Privé Parfums is presented as a niche haute-perfumery line made entirely in Chile by Pastor, a chemical engineer and perfumer with 12 years of experience in aroma development. His creative process begins with a defined concept and an intended emotional or sensory message, which guides the combination and refinement of ingredients. The brand draws on Chilean cultural and geographic references, including Melvin, inspired by a melon-and-white-wine drink, leather associated with Santiago’s Victoria neighborhood, and coastal, desert, and southern-forest imagery. Created around the 2010 Chilean earthquake and tsunami, 8.8 uses resilience as its concept rather than commemorating tragedy. On February 27, 2026, the brand presented 8.8 as a new olfactory work marking 16 years since the catastrophe and identified Edgar Pastor as its perfumer.
