Pedro Del Hierro
Pedro del Hierro is a Spanish fashion brand created in Madrid in 1974 by designer Pedro del Hierro. Its identity is tied to Spanish tradition, culture, architecture, art, and the founder’s legacy, while its collections are designed in Spain. The brand developed a model combining made-to-measure and haute-couture work with prêt-à-porter, broadening access to the designer’s aesthetic while retaining references to art, asymmetry, color, and experimental materials. In 1999, Tendam, then Grupo Cortefiel, acquired Pedro del Hierro, marking its transition from the founder’s eponymous design business to a continuing brand platform. The brand presented its first collection at New York Fashion Week in 2013. In 2024, it marked its 50th anniversary with a retrospective exhibition at Madrid’s Museo Lázaro Galdiano and a fashion show revisiting the founder’s legacy.
